Hummus

This is so easy to make, there is no excuse for buying store brand varieties.

Ingredients

  • 1 – 19oz can drained and rinsed garbanzo beans
  • ¼ cup Tahini (sesame paste)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • lemon juice to taste

Directions

  1. Blend all the ingredients together in a small food processor. Add additional olive oil if you desire a creamier texture.
  2. You can add some Roasted Red Peppers to the mix if you want Red Pepper Hummus
  3. Serve with cut up vegetables and/or whole grain pita bread
