The purpose of this Self Help Study is to introduce the basic principles and theory of Jin Shin Jyutsu while learning practical tools for helping oneself and others. . . .to learn how to harmonize and balance ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through the nourishment of one’s practice of health – deepening in the knowledge of restoration and revitalization through Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help.

Jin Shin Jyutsu recognizes that health and illness are associate with either the harmony or imbalance of our vital life force energy. The body contains energy pathways that feed life into cells and nourish internal organs. When one or more these paths become restricted, the resulting stagnation can disrupt the local area and eventually disharmonize the complete path of energy flow which leads to discomfort, pain, or disease.

Health Benefits

When we accidentally bump into an object it is instinct to place our hands over the injured area. Likewise, when our lower back hurts or we have a headache we naturally hold the areas of tension to help alleviate the pain. Jin Shin Jyutsu® Physio-Philosophy translated as “the art of the creator through the person of knowing and compassion,” is an ancient Japanese healing art that harmonizes the life energy of the body and mind through gentle touch. Similar to acupressure, one uses the power and sensitivity of the human hand to harmonize, balance, and restore the energy flow of the body to promote optimal health, vitality and a sense of well-being.
